All the therapists here have both office hours and hours for virtual sessions. Are you looking for in person counseling or are you looking for telehealth sessions? What is your availability for regular appointment times? Be ready to discuss your schedule and convenient times to meet with your therapist.
Our Intake documents are found in our therapy portal. You will be sent a link that will guide through setting up your portal password. This is where you will also find your telehealth sessions and where you will update your payment information. Keep this link and password handy.
If you are taking medications, either add them to your client history form on the portal or be ready with a list of their names and dosages for your first appointment. If you have had testing or evaluations done previously, it would be helpful to either upload them to the portal or bring a copy of these results to your first appointment.
The First Appointment/ Initial Assessment – This first appointment takes 60 minutes and it is primarily a getting-to-know-each-other session.
If you feel we are a good fit and you would like to pursue treatment in our office, we will make a second appointment. The sessions following the first appointment are also 55-60 minutes.
We make a commitment to adhere very closely to our schedules and do not expect you to wait for your appointments. So barring unexpected emergencies, please expect that we will be ready to start your appointment on time.
Some office policies to keep in mind:
If you are going to be 15 or more minutes late we will reschedule your appointment for another time and you will pay the standard $70 missed appointment fee. Exceptions to this are if you would like to pay privately for your remaining appointment time, as this office will not bill your insurance company for a full session when we are not providing services for a full session. (see above for private pay rates)
If you cannot keep your appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance. If you miss an appointment or cancel last minute, the $70 missed appointment/late cancellation fee will be applied.
There will be no fee charged for a last minute cancellation due to bad weather. It is expected that you make your decision in good faith and based upon your comfort/discomfort level, how far you need to drive, your car, and the conditions of the day. You will always have the opportunity to keep your appointment by switching to a tele health session.
